Being the 1972 two-fifty world-champion in road racing, the likeable and gifted Finn Jarno Saarinen was on his way to become one of the world’s greatest in his sport. Until the tragedy on May 20, 1973 in the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, in which he tragically lost his life.
Even today Jarno is very popular in many countries. Yet it lasted nearly 30 years until a book of him had been published. Now this problem has been solved, because a fine and complete book is for sale now, with much interesting information and many beautiful photographs. The book has been written by Dutch enthusiast Klaas Tjassens with the help of Jarno’s family and his wife Soili.
